Vik volleyball finishes strong against Redmond

Winless until Monday night in 4A Kingco league play, the Inglemoor volleyball squad notched its first win at home, defeating Redmond 3-1.

After 25-19 and 25-21 victories in games one and two, Redmond stayed alive with a 25-20 win, but were simply outmatched by the Viking offense as the Mustangs got routed 25-10 in game four.

For the Vikings, Megan Bafus slammed 10 kills, followed by Emily Anderson with eight and Emily Carpenter with six. Stephanie Griffiths had 16 point-saving digs to go along with six aces, and Macie Cross led the Vikings with eight aces.

With the win, Inglemoor improved to 1-3 in league (3-4 overall).
