Track and field
Inglemoor High’s Becca Berge won the 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles for the second time in two weeks at the 4A Kingco championships last week. She took the 100 in 15.23 seconds and the 300 in 44.42 seconds.
In other Inglemoor girls action, Tess Parent won the triple jump with a mark of 37-02 ½ feet.
On the boys’ side, Bothell’s Trey Parry won the 800-meters in 1:54.67, Inglemoor’s Zach Pattison took the 300 hurdles in 39.26, Inglemoor’s Ropati Tusi won the discus in 147-09 feet and Inglemoor’s 1,600 relay team of Pattison, Anthony Arena, Austin Terry and Paul Ena won in 3:22.28.
The district meet is May 22-23 at the Southwest Complex in West Seattle. State is May 28-30 at Mt. Tahoma High in Tacoma.
Girls tennis
Inglemoor’s Jasmine Singh and Rachel McCarthy both won their opening 4A Kingco tournament singles matches by identical 6-3, 6-3 scores last week. The tourney continued on Monday, after the Reporter’s deadline.
In doubles, Inglemoor’s Alanna Francis-Meg Linder (6-1, 6-1) and Monica Samuel-Won Seo (6-2, 6-0) won their openers, but lost in the second round.
State is May 29-30 in Kennewick.
Girls golf
Inglemoor’s Maria Stoica finished in second place and qualified for state with a score of 82-78-160 at the 4A Kingco championships May 13 at Snohomish Golf Course. The Vikings’ Jenna Harken (90-94-184) is a state alternate.
State is May 27-28 at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco.
