Amber Rose of Inglemoor made history by becoming the first individual KingCo girls champion in school history during the 4A KingCo Cross Country Championships held at Lincoln Park in West Seattle on Thursday.

Amber Rose of Inglemoor made history by becoming the first individual KingCo girls champion in school history during the 4A KingCo Cross Country Championships held at Lincoln Park in West Seattle on Thursday. She completed the race in in a time of 18 minutes, 14.5 seconds, leading the Viking girls to a sixth-place finish and qualifying for the Bi-District Championships next

weekend at Lincoln Park. Just 17 points separated the second and sixth place teams, the closest team results in meet history.

Inglemoor teammates Bailey Fjelstul (19:14.2) and Katie Diekema (19:22.3) placed 14th and 16th respectively.

Bothell’s Stephenie Spencer finished eighth overall with a time of 18:54.3.
