Playing in the rain on Wednesday against the Cougars at Bothell High, the Inglemoor Vikings poured on the offense in a 15-4 win in five innings in Bothell’s 4A Kingco league opener.
The Vikings scored 13 runs in the first three innings, highlighted by a grand slam by Holly Sandborg, with Kylie Acacio going 2-for-3 with a double and stolen base in the Vikings’ nine-hit attack.
On the mound, Haylee Lowe went five innings and gave up four runs in a winning effort while striking out two.
For the Cougars, Arista Honey and Kendra Heyer paced the offense, each going 2-for-3.
The win improved the Vikings to 3-4 overall while the loss sent Bothell below .500 to 2-3 overall.
