Although the league-leading Spartans jumped out to a 3-0 lead, the Cougars’ soccer team fought back in a 4A Kingco soccer matchup on Thursday night at home, coming just short in their comeback effort 3-2.

Junior Loreto scored on a Mauricio Aguilar assist just before the first half ended, and Aguilar took one in himself in the 48th minute to pull the Cougars within one.

The loss dropped Bothell to 1-5-1 in league play and 2-6-2 overall.
