The Boys U14 Northshore Select Fusion gathered with local soccer players and Special Olympians at Redmond Arena Sports to support their annual Gio Classic Fundraiser. Both teams have players from Bothell and Kenmore.

Arena Sports donated field time while members of the NSC Fusion played soccer games alongside members of the Washington Special Olympics team and other local soccer teams. The fundraiser included several silent auction items and was highlighted by an appearance from Kasey Keller who dropped by to support the event and sign autographs for the kids. The event raised nearly $5,000 for Special Olympics.

The Gio Classic is named after longtime Northshore Youth Soccer Association coach Giovanni Barone. Coach Gio made an impact on the lives of many local soccer players and their families.
