Three local Little League teams qualified for the 2012 Major Baseball District 8 Washington Tournament, and two of them remain in the hunt for the title.

Northshore — which defeated RUG, 20-0, and Queen Anne, 16-6 — will next play Magnolia at 6 p.m. July 11 at Laurelhurst Field No. 2 in Seattle.

Woodinville West defeated North Bothell, 11-3, and then the locals rebounded with a 10-6 win over Richmond. North Bothell will next play Queen Anne at 6 p.m. July 12 at Laurelhurst No. 2.

Woodinville defeated North Lake, 9-3, the locals downed Ballard, 12-1, but exited the tourney with a 4-3 loss to Queen Anne.
