The Northshore 9-10 All-Stars boys’ Little League Team, the District 8 Champions, put on an offensive show in the first two games of the state tournament last weekend, beating South Highline 8-1 and Richland 12-8.
In the South Highline game, Josh Davis, Dylan Gerard and Cameron Ley combined to limit Highline to just one earned run, while Gerard and Austin Cartwright each went 3-for-4 at the plate.
In the Richland win, the Northshore offense came alive for 18 hits, outslugging their opponents for the victory.
The team’s next game is Wednesday against Federal Way in the quarterfinals, which is coming off an 11-0 thrashing of Cascade. The game will be played at 6 p.m. at Hartman Park in Redmond.
