North Creek defeated previously unbeaten Issaquah in 4A KingCo volleyball action on Oct. 14. Scores were 25-23, 28-26, 25-22.
Kyleene Filimaua amassed 19 kills and 14 digs, Allison Wilks had 16 digs, 12 kills and six aces, Emmi Foltz had 18 assists, Bella Moon had 17 digs and Jenna Howard had 20 assists.
“The entire team contributed to the win, showing their competitive spirit and never letting up on their intensity,” said coach Richard Abiador.
North Creek followed up that win with a three-set victory over Newport (25-13, 25-13, 25-11) on Oct. 16.
At press time, North Creek and Issaquah were tied with 6-1 records atop the conference, followed by Eastlake and Mount Si with 5-2 marks. North Creek stands 10-2 overall.
