The Vikings earned a early goal during the 10th minute of play as Derek Kuhn was assisted by teammate Daniel Luna. The Knights would tie the game 10 minutes later.

Inglemoor’s Rio Alcorta gave his team the lead back with fives minutes remaining in the half.

Newport started the second half strong, eventually breaking through to tie the game at 2-2 during the 53rd minute. But just as they did before the Vikings put the ball into the back of the knights’ net to clinch the victory. Alcorta passed the ball to  Ian Schweickart during the 70th minute for the game-winning point.
