Cedar Park Christian graduate Sally Larson, who runs for Lipscomb Collage in Tennessee, was selected as the Atlantic Sun Cross Country Runner of the Week during the first seven days of the 2013 women season in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
“Sally ran a very impressive first collegiate race,” Bill Taylor, director of cross country and track and field, told the Lipscomb athletic website. “She worked really well with Tessa (Hoefle) and ran tough.”
Larson was the first collegiate runner across the line with a time of 17:54.10, as she competed against Southeastern Conference (SEC) programs Vanderbilt, Kentucky and Tennessee during the Belmont Opener.
