The Inglemoor High School cross country teams competed during the 4A KingCo Championship meet at Sammamish State Park on Saturday.

Boys cross country

Nick Laccinole recorded the highest Inglemoor finish for a boy since 2003 by placing second overall during the 4A KingCo Cross Country Championships.  He finished the race in 15-minutes, 41-seconds, eight seconds behind winner Nathan Pixler of Eastlake. Gavin Parpart placed sixth overall in 16:05.

Both Laccinole and Parpart were named First Team All-KingCo for their performances for the second year in a row.

The boys team finished seventh in the team race as they struggled with a couple of injuries to key runners. The team hopes to be back to full strength next week at the Bi-District meet.

Girls cross country

The girls team finished fifth overall. They were led by Rebecca Ledsham, placing sixth in a time of 18:41. This is Ledsham’s highest finish at the KingCo Championship meet. She was also named First Team All-KingCo for her performance.

Freshman runners Caitlynn Parpart and Hallie Wall were named to the All-KingCo Freshman Team for their performances in the varsity race.

Next up are the Bi-District Championships at Lake Sammamish State Park on Oct. 31. This will feature teams from KingCo and Wesco.
