Inglemoor High senior Alex Crotteau finished second in the 50-yard freestyle finals at the Class 4A Swim and Dive State Championships on Saturday at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.
Crotteau came into the finals with the third seed from prelims, but cut six percent of his time in the finals for a mark of 21.28 seconds.
Camas senior Tom Utas won the event in 21.07 seconds.
The Inglemoor 200 freestyle relay team, Spencer Straight, Branden Hinkley, Andrew Jumanca and Crotteau, finished sixth in the finals in 1:29.58 seconds. Crotteau swam the fastest leg of any athlete in the finals, catching Skyline and Hanford down the stretch.
The Inglemoor 400 freestyle team made the finals and finished 14th. Crotteau, Jumanca, Hinckley and Charlie Bohlin set a mark of 3:21.7.
Inglemoor senior Adam Bradshaw finished 23rd overall in the 200 individual medley prelims, and did not make finals.
Camas High won the event with 302 points. Skyline was second with 206 and Issaquah third with 197. Inglemoor placed 15th with 49 points.
