Inglemoor wins two tight games — including a double-OT one — over Bothell/ 4A Kingco Boys and Girls Basketball

Host Bothell overcame a three-point deficit in the fourth quarter to force overtime. And in the first overtime period, with both teams in double bonus, senior wing Tracy Rider made a clutch free throw with 2.1 seconds left on the clock to force double-overtime at 42-42.

The Vikings began double overtime on a 6-0 run to pull away from the Cougars, who were led by Haley Dusenberry with 16 points and followed by Kareena Dahl with 13 and Sarah Garinger with 12.

Peacocke led all scorers with a season-high 34.

With the win, the Vikings improved to 4-1 in league play and 8-2 overall, while the Cougars dropped to 0-6 and 2-9 overall.

VIKING OFFENSE NIPS BOTHELL

The baskets were torched during Friday’s nightcap when the Bothell boys basketball team took on rival Inglemoor, and the Vikings’ balanced attack prevailed, 70-65.

The back-and-forth game saw the Vikings run to a 21-14 lead, only to be trailing 36-33 at the half thanks to the hot 3-point shooting of Cougar guard Zach Lavine.

The Vikings responded with a 22-point effort in the third quarter and were able to hold on for the win. For Inglemoor, Eric Bryant led with 20 points, followed by Tyler Bobin and Jerry Molina with 17 each. Bobin, a 6-foot-7 center, also recorded a big double-double with 16 rebounds.

Bothell’s Lavine, currently tops in Kingco at 25.3 points per game, recorded a game-high 32 for the Cougars, who dropped to 0-6 in league play and 3-7 overall. The Vikings improved to 4-3 (9-3).
