Inglemoor wins Bellevue College tournament title | Prep boys basketball

The Inglemoor High School boys basketball team gained a lot of momentum and confidence Monday night, defeating Glacier Peak, 54-45, to the take the Bellevue College Holiday tournament title.

The Inglemoor High School boys basketball team gained a lot of momentum and confidence Monday night, defeating Glacier Peak, 54-45, to the take the Bellevue College Holiday tournament title.

Inglemoor stayed just ahead of Glacier Peak during the game, building a seven-point lead throughout the first half with strong defense. The Vikings held their opponents to single digits in scoring during each of the first two quarters. The second half was more of the same despite Peak doing a better job of keeping pace with Inglemoor.

The Vikings were led by Trey Miller with 20 points and teammates John Gardner (12) and Chandler Edlin (10).

Inglemoor entered the tournament with a 2-3 record but got on a roll during the past week. The tournament win included wins against Bear Creek and Oak Harbor. The Vikings are now 5-3 overall on the young season.
