The Inglemoor High School girls basketball team nearly doubled up Mercer Island on Saturday, 69-35, in Kenmore.
The Viking defense suffocated the Islanders during the first half, as Mercer Island scored as many points during the first two quarters as Inglemoor scored during the second quarter alone.
The Vikings took a 33-15 lead into halftime. The Islanders kept pace a little better during the third quarter but was doubled up during the fourth quarter 20-10.
Inglemoor was led by Alex Hagen with 15 points, Deja Strother with 13 points and Chijoke Emeka with 12 points. Nine Viking players scored during the contest.
