Class 4A Kingco coaches voted the Inglemoor High girls varsity soccer team its Sportsmanship Team of the Year at the recent all-league coaches meeting. The Viks were recognized Nov. 2 at a 4A Kingco tournament game at Skyline High.
“We had a motto this year that we win with class and we lose with class,” said first-year head coach, Amanda Potts. “I am extremely proud of these girls and of all their hard work.”
The team (2-11-2 overall) also achieved Washington Interscholastic Activities Association scholarship awards by having a varsity team grade-point average (GPA) over 3.5. The team’s combined GPA is 3.553. The 16 girls on the varsity squad will receive certificates and emblems for their letter jackets for this achievement.
