The Inglemoor High girls’ soccer team recorded its second shutout of the year in a 1-0 conference win over Mount Si on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at Inglemoor High School in Kenmore.
Junior midfielder Kelsy Berge scored the game-winner, and goalkeeper Saya Brown picked up the shutout.
The Vikings (2-4-0 KingCo, 2-5-1) snapped a five-match winless streak. Next, Inglemoor is scheduled to play Bothell at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1 at Pop Keeney Stadium.
Woodinville 2, Bothell 1. The Cougars came close to a big result in Tuesday’s conference match against Woodinville at Pop Keeney Stadium in Bothell, but gave up a second half goal and all three points to the Falcons.
Woodinville (4-2-0, 5-3-0) scored in the first half, but Bothell’s Paiton Sabatini broke through 13 seconds into the second half to tie the game.
Woodinville scored in the 62nd minute to win the match.
Bothell (2-4-0, 2-6-0) beat Newport 1-0 on Sept. 22 for the second conference victory of the season. Estera Levinte scored the game-winner.
Boys’ tennis
Inglemoor 7, Mount Si 0. The Vikings swept all seven points on Tuesday at Mount Si High School in Snoqualmie.
Fred Huyan won the No. 1 singles match 6-1, 6-1 and James Peng won the No. 2 singles match 6-0, 6-0. Athil George and Ethan Huang won the third and fourth singles matches.
Edward Yand and May Chiang won their No. 1 doubles match, followed by wins from Erik Zhu and Jake Millman, and Patrick Bi and Ray Fung.
The Vikings also beat Skyline, 6-1, on Thursday, Sept. 22.
Next, Inglemoor (5-1, 8-1) is scheduled to take on Bothell (3-3, 4-5) on Sept. 28 at Inglemoor High School.
