Outlook: Inglemoor may have a young team, but it’s also a talented one led by junior Maria Stoica, who was able to participate but not score for the Vikings last year due to out-of-district transfer rules. She still played with the team and was a positive influence last year, head coach Sheri Rosenzweig said.

“She was really helpful all year last year,” Rosenzweig said. “She has just a beautiful swing and I think some great potential possibly in the future.”

Stoica is joined at the top with Jenna Harken and co-captain Brianne Ryan as the team’s most consistent scorers. But Rosenzweig said the season has been fun because of the good-natured group, including three volleyball players with limited golf experience in Tali Robertson, Kelsey Carey and Jeanette Stager.

Top golfers

• Jr. Maria Stoica: Went to state tournament as freshman while playing at Monroe. Should be ready to compete for state berth this year, too. Co-captain.

• Soph. Jenna Harken: No. 2 golfer and IB student is already solid on the course and has plenty of potential she hasn’t tapped into yet.

• Sr. Brianne Ryan: Four-year player is great leader as co-captain.

• Soph. Sarah Scharke: Improving greatly in second season.

• Soph. Megan Scharke: Twin who has shown vast improvement.
