Inglemoor ends season with loss to Newport | Prep baseball

The Inglemoor High baseball team closed its season with a 5-0 KingCo loss to Newport on Monday, May 2, at Inglemoor High School in Kenmore.

The Inglemoor High baseball team closed its season with a 5-0 KingCo loss to Newport on Monday, May 2, at Inglemoor High School in Kenmore.

Tyler Williams pitched six and one third innings for the Vikings (3-16 overall, 1-15), striking out five batters and allowing six hits.

Newport starter AJ Block pitched a complete game with five hits and 10 strikeouts.

Newport took a 4-0 lead in the top of the third inning, and tacked on a fifth run in the top of the seventh.

Inglemoor finished on the outside looking in for the KingCo 4A tournament.

It was the final game for seniors Jake Watkins, Connor Portugal, Willy DeCourcy, Spencer Radek, Grant Harris, Dennis Behrend, Marshall Simmonds, Williams and Tim Starostka.
