In a Northshore showdown, Inglemoor defeated Bothell, 4-2, in the opening round of the 4A KingCo softball playoffs on Monday.
Inglemoor will take on Woodinville at 6:30 p.m. tonight at Inglemoor High. Bothell is done for the season.
On Monday, Inglemoor got two hits each from Camryn Scott and O’Nalisa Hall and Taylor Waara earned the win with seven strikeouts. Also registering hits for the Viks were Waara, Hailey King, Riley Garcia and Emma Flugstad.
Bothell received hits from Nikki Wolman, Amber Powers, Kelsey Fortney, Nicole Leadley and Brooke Davis.
In other action, Newport beat North Creek, 15-5.
For North Creek, Malia Pinder had four hits, Makenna Fialdini had three hits and Averi Egbert had two hits.
The game was tied 2-2 after one inning, and North Creek led 4-2 in the top of the third. Newport tallied three in the bottom of the third and rolled from there.
North Creek is done for the season.
