After two years on the outside looking in, the way finally cleared for Inglemoor High School senior Nick Laccinole last week.

He didn’t set any records, nor did he sniff at one of the state’s top marks, but the standout distance runner swept the 1,600 and 3,200 meter events at the 4A KingCo Track and Field championships on May 11 and 13 at Juanita High School in Kirkland.

The Inglemoor High boys won the team title, edging Issaquah 110-94 and winning five events.
