Inglemoor boy beat Mount Si in KingCo tournament, set up rematch with Bothell

In the days following the regular season finale, a handful of students at Inglemoor High School rode a high built on a season sweep of Bothell in boys basketball.

They were already 2-0, they said on Twitter, why not go for three?

The Vikings will get their chance on Saturday afternoon. Inglemoor beat Mount Si, 58-49, in the opening round of the Class 4A KingCo Conference tournament on Thursday at Lake Washington High School in Kirkland, setting up a rematch of the cross-river rivalry.

Inglemoor senior Ryan Hamilton led the Vikings with 17 points and 10 assists. Jalen Woodley had 15 points, Jaxon Peay scored 12 and Jack Weyer hit three of six from downtown and finished with 11 points.

The Vikings () took a 10-point lead after the first quarter, but Mount Si responded to grab a one-point edge headed to the fourth. Inglemoor outscored Mount Si 24-13 in the final period.

Inglemoor and Bothell are set to play at 3 p.m. on Feb. 11. The winner moves on to play for the tournament title and the No. 1 seed in the regional tournament, while the loser drops into a three-team bracket for second place.

The top two teams qualify for regionals.
