Inglemoor High seniors Amanda Cunningham and Ethan Karlinsey were each awarded scholarships from the Washington State Cross Country Coaches Association on June 24.
The track and cross country captains excelled in the classroom and have been active in the community.
Cunningham was voted most inspirational this past year by her teammates and was also given the scholar athlete award. She will be competing for Pacific University in both track and cross country.
Karlinsey was also awarded the scholar athlete award, holds several school records for relays, was a 4×400-meter relay state champion in 2016 and was a three-time state competitor. He was instrumental in helping the 2016 boys team place second at the state track meet with a third-place individual finish in the 800 meters. He will be running track for Cal Poly next year.
