IHS grad Nichols leading Bentley into NCAA East Regional cross country meet

Inglemoor High School graduate Ashley Nichols (Class of 2010) has her sights on helping the Bentley University (Waltham, Mass.) women’s cross country team get to the NCAA Division II Championships in Spokane.

The team will run Sunday afternoon in Boston at the NCAA Division II East Regional, where the top two teams will qualify.

At the Northeast-10 Conference meet, Nichols placed 11th out of 167 competitors, running the 5K course in 18 minutes, 29 seconds, helping Bentley place second overall.

Last year, Nichols earned All-Region honors with a 13th-place finish at the East Regional.
