Cedar Park Christian’s Lady Eagles battled for a 39-28 win against University Prep last Wednesday. Freshman Mattie Shelford took the lead with 11 points and sophomore Mikaela Raschick followed closely with 10 points.
During the second game of the week against Seattle Academy last Friday, the Eagles struggled to keep pace with the competition. Raschick stole the night with 18 points, Shelford contributed six and senior Brittany Kragerud added three points. Though the score was low and close, Cedar Park could not pull the few extra baskets needed for a win and left with a 46-30 defeat.
Boys basketball
In their away game at University Prep last Wednesday, the Cedar Park Christian Eagles fell, 51-34. Junior Josh Zoellick led the team with eight points, while teammates Brandon Duffy, Adam Stephenson and Victor Sviridyuk each added seven points.
Cedar Park bounced back against Seattle Academy last Friday and notched a 60-52 overtime win. Again Zoellick led the team with 16 points and fellow junior Tommy McCullough added 14 points.
