The Bothell boys tennis team swept the singles action during its season opener on Monday at home to beat Juanita 6-1.

No. 1 Cougar singles player Daniel Fredrickson won his match 6-1, 6-3, while No. 2 singles player Cole Jones won 6-1, 7-5. Bothell’s Jakud Warner pulled out a tight first set 7-6(4) and then completed the win with a 6-1 second set, while teammate Jacob Yu came back from a disastrous first loss to win the No. 4 singles match 1-6, 6-0, 6-3.

In doubles action, the Bothell team of Andrew Roetcisoender and Connor Newton took the No. 2 singles match in straight sets 6-0, 6-4, and teammates Matthew Pittsford and Jehramy Bindon won 6-0, 6-1.

The Cougars will host Roosevelt at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
