The Bothell High football team has officially clinched the 4A Kingco Crown Division with a 35-0 shutout of Garfield High School on Thursday night at Pop Keeney Stadium.
During the game, quarterback Braden Foley connected with Dylan Hanley on a 34-yard touchdown pass to put the Cougars on the board in the first quarter, and then running back Luke Proulx found hole after hole in the Bulldogs’ line as he went on to score four times on runs of 10, 30, 7 and 2 yards.
Foley finished the night 10-for-17 passing for 169 yards, Proulx rushed for 121 yards on 18 carries and Trent Sewell led all receivers with 73 yards gained.
The Cougars outgained the Bulldogs 351 yards to 133.
On defense, Eric Gregory led the team with four solo tackles and eight assists, and Grady Hawkins notched five tackles with one assist.
The Cougars play Ballard (0-3, 1-5) next Friday night at Memorial Stadium in Seattle before facing off against the 4A Kingco Crest division winner in the league championship game.
