The Bothell High School baseball team advanced during the 4A KingCo tournament by defeating Ballard 6-2 on Saturday.
The Cougars built a four-run lead during the first three innings and then added tow more during the top of the fifth. The Beavers matched the two runs during the bottom of the inning but never fully recovered.
Bothell’s Cameron Costa led the team on offense going 2-for-4 with two RBI and a double. Starting pitcher Travis Dohr picked up the victory.
Bothell advances to face Eastlake at 7 p.m. on Monday in Woodinville.
