The Bothell High School girls soccer team showed how good its defense can be Thursday night with a 3-0 shutout of Garfield at Memorial Stadium in Seattle.

The Cougars got on the board during the 20th minute as Meghan Tveit scored an unassisted goal. Tveit scored a second goal at the 55th minute of play, again unassisted. Bothell’s Erin McElligott added another goal during the 75th minute to closeout the scoring.

Cougar Sara Christensen earned the shutout in goal.
