The Cedar Park Christian boys basketball team from Bothell defeated University Prep 61-55 to open the season Tuesday.

The Eagles jumped out to a 34-26 halftime lead. Despite Prep playing Cedar Park close during the second half, the Eagles held on for the win thanks to 24 points from David McLaurin.

Cedar Park was also led by Tim Larson’s 11 points.
