The Cedar Park Christian baseball team crushed Lakewood in five innings, 12-2, in Bothell on Friday.

The two teams were fairly competitive heading into the bottom of the fifth, with the Eagles leading 5-2. But Cedar Park hammered the baseball during the bottom of the inning for seven runs, triggering the mercy rule and ending the game.

Cedar Park was led by Josh Krause, who was 3-for-4 with four RBI, Jack Flynn, who was 2-for-4 with two RBI and Alex Carder with two RBI. Josh Steventon picked up the win, throwing five innings, giving up two earned runs and striking out seven batters.

The Eagles will attempt to continue that momentum at 4 p.m. on Wednesday at Archbishop Murphy.
