Although it won just one doubles match, the Bothell High tennis team shined in singles play to defeat Inglemoor High, 4-3, this week.
Playing at No. 1, Bothell’s David Maggs beat Paul Pisani, 6-4, 6-2; Dakota Newton beat Eric Chin, 6-1, 6-1; and Alon Pitashnik beat Zach Church, 6-3, 6-4. The Cougars also won the No. 3 doubles matchup of Tim Bultman/Jordon Huffaker over Peter Von Eberstan and Chris Berger, 7-6, 6-3.
For Inglemoor, No. 3 singles player David Chi beat Jake Arlan, 6-4, 6-3.
In doubles action, Viking duo David Hanson and Stefan Bach beat Mitchell Viydo and Kevin McShane, 6-1, 7-5, and the team of Glen Zinck/Jerry Jiang took care of Calvin Lien and Evan McCall, 6-1, 6-0.
