The Bothell High School football team stayed undefeated this week in grad fashion, pounding Redmond 35-7 on Thursday at Pop Keeney Stadium in Bothell.

The game was not even close, as the Cougars built a 35-0 lead prior to halftime and then cruised through the second half.

The first score of the game was an example of things to come, as Bothell running back Sam McPherson busted free for a 62-yard touchdown. McPherson would finish with 132 yards and two scores on the ground.

The passing game was also working well for the Cougars. Quarterback Ross Bowers found Dayzell Wilson for a 33-yard score and the team’s second touchdown of the game.

Bothell kept up the scoring pace during the second quarter, as Bowers hooked up with McPherson for a 60-yard pass play that ended with a 21-0 lead.

McPherson’s night running the ball was capped off with his third score of the game on a 50-yard sprint to the end zone.

Bowers and Ryan Croson finished off the Cougar scoring the contest as the pass play picked up 25-yards and a touchdown.

The win moves Bothell’s record to a perfect 6-0 atop the 4A KingCo Crest Division standings. The team will have its biggest test of the season at 7 p.m. on Oct. 17, as it travels to Skyline High School to take on the Spartans.
