The Bothell High School softball team and Newport played a wild game on Wednesday, combining for 23 runs. However, the Cougars came out on top, 12-11, in Bothell.

Bothell was led by Brooke Powers, who finished the day 3-for-4 with two home runs and seven RBI. Megan Powers finished the day 4-for-4 with four RBI and a double for the Cougars. Becca Fortney also had an RBI for the team.

Bothell will play in Redmond at 5 p.m. on Friday.
