The Bothell boys golf team opened the 2013 season Monday with a 10-stroke loss to Roosevelt at Jackson Park Golf Course in Seattle.

The Bothell boys golf team opened the 2013 season Monday with a 10-stroke loss to Roosevelt at Jackson Park Golf Course in Seattle.

Bothell shot a collective 211, while the Roughriders completed the course in 201 strokes.

Bothell’s Jason Beigiea was three strokes off the lead, finishing with a four-over 40 and tying for third place. Max Hanson was two strokes off his teammate’s pace, shooting a 42 to finish fifth overall.

The Cougars will host Ballard at 3 p.m. at Wayne Golf Course today. It will be the team’s home opener.
