The Bothell High School baseball team gave up two runs during the top of the seventh in a loss to Woodinville, 2-1, on Tuesday.
The Cougars broke a scoreless tie during the third inning on an RBI off the bat of Tyler Wharf and looked to be cruising the victory thanks to the starting pitching of Quinn Gleed.
But an error in the seventh led to an unearned run and then the game winning run for the Falcons.
Gleed finished the game with five strikeouts, a walk and the heartbreaking loss.
Bothell will try to regroup to host Skyline at 6 p.m. today.
