The Bothell High School boys basketball team lost to Newport, 69-55, on Friday in Bellevue.

Newport began the game with a bucket advantage, 19-16, during the first quarter but the Cougars hung close to the Knights, trailing just 36-32 at halftime. Newport pulled away during the fourth quarter, outscoring Bothell 18-11.

Bothell will host Skyline at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
