The Bothell Gymnastics Club participated in its first meet of the season on Dec. 7, with the advanced team taking second and intermediate team taking third.
“The girls have only been working out together for a little over two months and they did great,” said coach Keala Hopps.
The intermediate team took third out of eight teams and two all-around titles won by in Izzy Thoma, 8, and Maddy Chriest, 11. Also in the intermediate division, Izzy took first place on beam, Maddy took first on floor and third on vault and uneven bars and Emily Chriest, 13, took second on vault.
In the Advanced division, the girls came in second out of six teams. Elizabeth Allen, 12, placed first on floor, second on bars, third on vault and second in all-around.
Kate Leary, 11, finished second on both vault and beam, Jessica Poch, 12, was second on floor. KG Mosset, 13, was first on floor in her age group as well as third on bars. Megan Hershgold, 14, came in first on beam and second on bars.
