The Bothell High School girls basketball team earned its third in-league victory of the season Saturday night. The Cougars narrowly held on against Redmond 47-44 at home.
The two teams played a tight game during the first quarter, separated by just one basket. But Bothell took control of the contest during the second and third quarters, outscoring their opponents 27-18.
Redmond made a run during the fourth quarter, but Bothell found a way to hang on for the victory.
The Cougars were led by Erin Burns with 12 points and Melinda Akoto, but also found good teamwork as eight players scored for the squad.
