The Bothell High School girls softball team doubled up Ballard, 8-4, on Tuesday at home.
Ballard began the game by scoring two runs during the top of the first inning. However, that lead disappeared as the Cougars tied the game by the end of the second and took a 5-2 lead during the third inning. Three more runs during the bottom of the fourth put the game out of reach for the Beavers as Kayleigh Peterson threw four innings for the win.
The Cougars were led by Megan Powers, who finished 2-for-3 with two RBI. Megan Marino, Leah Sailer, Laura Sorton, Alex Farmer and Peterson all finished with an RBI for Bothell.
The Cougars will host Woodinville at 4 p.m. on Monday.
