The Bothell High School boys basketball team showed why they won the Crest Division title this year on Saturday night, blowing out Redmond 88-48.
Bothell began the game slow – for Bothell – scoring just 15 first-quarter points, as the Mustangs trailed by just six heading into the second quarter. But the next 16 minutes of play would be like a freight train bearing down on the team from Redmond, as the Cougars exploded for 59 points.
The run would only see the Mustangs score 27. It also included one of the highest single quarter point total this year for Bothell at 35 during the third quarter.
The Cougar’s leading scorer, Zach LaVine, came close to beating Redmond all by himself, scoring a season high 39 points. Perrion Callendret (19 points) and Josh Martin (13 points) also finished in double figures.
