The Bothell High School boys basketball team was a gracious host off the court on Monday but blasted Bear Creek, 73-24, during the first round of the Bothell High School Boys Basketball Tournament on the court.
The Cougars got out to a 19-6 first-quarter lead and never looked back. The second quarter was even worse for the team from Redmond, falling behind 51-13 by halftime.
The teams played even during the third quarter but the Cougars finished the game with a 13-2 run.
Bothell was led by Hunter Dean with 13 points and Jake Medjo with 12 points. In all, 11 Cougars scored during the game.
