The Bothell High School baseball team defeated Newport, 6-2, on Monday at home.

Austin Baek led the Cougars on offense, going 2-for-4 with 3 RBI at the plate, while teammate Alec Dingle threw five innings, giving up two runs while striking out four en route to the win.

Blake Ihrig also had an RBI during the contest.

Bothell will play next at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at Redmond.
