The Bothell High football team got a late touchdown from Daniel Johnson to stave off Mount Si and win the KingCo Conference opener, 31-21, on Friday in Snoqualmie.
Bothell (3-0) led 10-0 after the first quarter on a James Johnson field goal and rushing touchdown from running back Parker Chamberlin.
Mount Si (2-1) got on the board with a 13-yard pass from Zeke Barden to Jesiah Irish early in the second quarter, but Bothell answered with two touchdowns for a 24-6 halftime lead.
Mount Si scored twice in the third quarter to get within 24-21, but Johnson’s touchdown early in the fourth quarter put Bothell ahead by two possessions.
Issaquah 40, Inglemoor 7
A banged-up Inglemoor High football team dropped the KingCo Conference opener on Friday in Issaquah.
Inglemoor (0-3) scored with 30 seconds remaining in the first half, and trailed 10-6 at the break.
