The Bothell High School fastpitch team defeated the defending 3A state champion Juanita Rebels, 14-11, on Thursday at home.
Bothell bashed the ball around for nine hits and overcame three errors for the win.
The Cougars were led at the plate by Amber powers, who was 3-for-4, Chloe Lium, who was 2-for-4, Megan Powers, who was 2-for-5, and Megan Morino, who had a double in four at-bats.
On the mound, Liz Olson threw a perfect inning and third to close out the game and earn the victory.
The win brings Bothell’s record to 2-1.
