The Bothell High School volleyball team traveled to Edmonds-Woodway Thursday and lost 3-1 despite five aces by Karly Ernster.
The Warriors took the first two games 25-20 and 28-26 but the Cougars fought back with the largest margin of victory during the match 25-19. Edmonds-Woodway would finish off Bothell with a 25-23 victory during the fourth and decisive game.
The Cougars were led by Reese Laufasa with 33 assists.
Bothell, now 0-2, will look for its first win of the year at 7 p.m. as they host Monroe on Tuesday.
