Primary opponent endorses Kloba for state representative | Letter

I am writing to offer a unique perspective on my former opponent, Shelley Kloba. Opposing candidates don't often speak highly of one another, however I was immediately struck by her insight into issues, dedication to working with others, and openness with me leading up to the primary.

I am writing to offer a unique perspective on my former opponent, Shelley Kloba. Opposing candidates don’t often speak highly of one another, however I was immediately struck by her insight into issues, dedication to working with others, and openness with me leading up to the primary.

While campaigning, we had candid discussions where I came to understand that she would make an outstanding state representative based on her many deep community roots, her collaborative presence, her experience as a Kirkland City Councilmember, local PTA legislative chair, and member of the Kirkland Park Board. She has a well-rounded understanding of the local issues that impact us all.

Because of her tireless dedication she has earned the sole endorsement of meaningful organizations like Washington Education Association, Washington Alliance for Gun Responsibility, NARAL Pro-Choice WA, and the 1st Legislative District Democrats.

I am impressed by her passion and focus on the most pressing issues facing our state: fully funding our schools, closing unfair tax loopholes, and protecting our environment. She has the right mix of experience and temperament to be a great public servant for our district. I hope you’ll join me in voting for Shelley Kloba for state representative.
