As a new resident, I’m excited about Kenmore Proposition 1 – Walkways and Waterways — and what it provides for the city’s future.

While learning about our Proposition 1 and Imagine Kenmore, I’ve been impressed with the energy that people from all perspectives put into the City. I’m also appreciative of town leaders past and present, who put in long hours to balance Kenmore’s opportunities and challenges.

Kenmore Proposition 1, and the development it would fuel, take advantages of existing Kenmore resources. For example, the proposed improvements to Squire’s Landing Park would provide additional recreational river access, while increasing customer exposure to nearby local businesses.

With no existing debt and historically low interest rates, the timing couldn’t be better. Investing in Kenmore now can also increase the City’s ability to obtain support from the county, state, and other funding sources.

Kenmore Proposition 1 has been thoughtfully conceived, reflects the needs of the residents, and sets achievable goals that will have a positive impact on our community. You can find more information about what Proposition 1 will do at: www.yeswalkwayswaterways.com.
