Charles Henry Crapser
Charles Henry Crapser, born July 2, 1930, died March 8, 2010 at home with his wife and family. He was born in Algona, Iowa. Honorably served the United States Army in both Korea and Vietnam where he was awarded the Bronze Star. After retiring from the Army he graduated from the University of Washington and taught at Decatur, Inglemore and Woodinville high schools for 16 years. Charlie was an avid fisherman and enjoyed his hobby of fly tying. Preceded in death by an infant son Charles Jr., parents Leroy and Susan Crapser, sisters Vivian Walker and Evelyn Mains, and brother Russell. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Dorothy, four daughters Sue LaForce, Christine Campbell, Sandra Hazzard, and Marilyn McMath, and eight grandchildren. A memorial will be held at Echo Falls Golf Club on April 10 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Evergreen Hospice Services, 12822 124th Lane NE, Kirkland, WA 98034.
